We’ve been busy, searching for child friendly venues and places where the kids can have an awesome time. Below are some places that we’ve found, we will add more as we continue our adventures…
Great venue, Menu is a bit limited as they don’t really have that many healthy options but they said they are going to change it up a little soon. They have kiddies options that are very tasty, my daughter loved the spaghetti bolognaise.
The play area is okay but not shaded. They are in the process of creating a new play area, that is shaded and they’re going to add more equipment.
Delta park cafe is Dog friendly, there is an upper deck that doesn’t allow dogs.
There is a changing area in the ladies bathroom.
Address: Delta Park, 77 Craighall Rd, Victory Park, Randburg, 2195.
REEA Stables at Delta Park
This area is on the same property as Delta Park Cafe. You can visit the stables before 8AM and after 2PM as the horses are out during those times. They are closed on Sundays.
Best of all is these horses are well looked after and it’s free to visit! You can bring carrots to feed them.
Pony rides for older kids are R20.
Lovely menu with so many options to choose from. There is a small indoor area for rainy days. They have child sized chairs, they host birthday parties where you can make your own pizzas. It’s a lovely place with an awesome outdoor area for various ages.
There are Childminders & a seperate changing room.
Address: Papachinos Greenstone Park, Greenstone Park, Lethabong.
Ludwigs Rose Garden
Quite a drive (1 hr+). The service isn’t great, nor is the food. Value for what you get isn’t great BUT I would go again, for coffee or tea, just to allow the kiddies to explore the play area.
The sandpit is HUGE and well covered, the areas are well spaced out and there is a lot of choice. It would be a great outing if you’re looking for roses as they have an awesome nursery on the same property. There’s also a park run here every Saturday morning.
Address: Ludwig’s Roses, 61 Haakdoornlaagte, Pretoria, 0002
The Fun Room, Pretoria.
Around an hour drive from Rosebank, R80 per hour for a toddler.
Pack socks for the kids and yourself. They have a substantial menu and the pricing is reasonable. We were all exhausted after 1 hour! Fun for parents too and a great laugh. It’s alot bigger than the pictures…
Address: The FUN ROOM, cnr crown and, Main St, Waterkloof, Pretoria.
Krazy Kids Farm yard
A fun morning out. They have bunnies, goats, chickens, a horse. They are also a party venue. The play area has a variety of choices.
Entry is R35 per child and R15 an adult. Open Tuesday to Sunday 9-5pm.
Krazy Kids Farmyard, 7 Daniel St, Bryanbrink, Randburg, 2194.
The Green Room, Greenside.
Lovely menu, Pricing is Reasonable. There’s a lot of Shady tables but not too much shade available around the jungle gyms. There is a small area with an umbrella and some toys, crayons, large lego blocks.
No change area.
Address: The Green Room, 4 Cruden Bay Rd, Greenside, Randburg, 2034
The Field Berry Farm
A lovely place and story behind the lady who runs it. It’s R40 per adult and R30 for children over 2 years old. This price gets you a plastic tub to pick berries and then you weigh & pay at the end. It’s such an awesome family outing and would be awesome for older kids parties.
They have a stalls with different food choices such as wraps, samoosa’s, build a boerie roll. They sell yummy raspberry cheese cake, jams, Raspberry craft beer, frozen berries, Raspberry cordial.
There’s a jungle gym but not really for younger children.
They have a changing mat in the ladies bathroom.
Address: The Field Berry Farm, South Africa, De Deur, 1876
